Francesco Gennari

lives and works in Pesaro and Milan, Italy
The practice of Francesco Gennari is based on minimal formal features and a metaphysical approach. He creates a cosmology of works, based essentially on self-portraiture, which find coherence not in the matter-of-fact aspect but in the conceptual sensibility that characterizes them. The artist generates works with a strong poetic value with the use of different materials (steel, marble, gold, mint syrup, bronze, orange peels): a real alphabet through which the artist unfold his aesthetic language and progressively builds a vast metaphysical landscape.
